In order to rent an automobile you must be in possession of a valid drivers licence. You must be at least 25 years of age and at least five years in possession of a valid drivers licence. For renting a racing car the so called C class licence is additionally required with the appropriate amount of experience and success that must be proven.

All automobiles are third party insured with a sum that coincides with insurance law that is required in the Federal Republic of Germany. Full coverage insurance is not required for every automobile this will be specifically highlighted when necessary. But in general full coverage insurance with € 1.000 self participation applies, that is due in case of an accident. Included is also a part all risks insurance with € 1.000 self participation. In case of an accident based on negligence, the insurance coverage no longer applies and the entire sum is due. When desired it is also possible to have racing cars insured for solo events. The valid contributes for these vehicles are not included in the price, thus separately due and likewise to be completely paid before vehicle usage. In case of an accident based on negligence or higher forces the insurance coverage no longer applies and the entire sum is due.

Before renting a car an individual security fee for each vehicle must be paid in cash, per Bank transfer, Bank confirmation, check or Bank guarantee. In case of an accident for what ever reason the fee will be held for security reasons until the matter has been totally cleared.

In case of theft, accident or damage the driver is obligated to notify the police immediately to indicate and confirm the damage event. Furthermore it is also necessary to inform the car rental company Vintage Cars & Travel by telephone and also in writing. (letter)

According to the regulations vehicles are only allowed to driven in the Federal Republic of Germany. Any others destinations must be mentioned in contract. Any damage caused, because of negligence is not covered by the insurance and must be paid accordingly.

The reservation of a vehicle exclusively takes place against a pre-payment at a value of 50% of the respective rent, and/or cost special services. The remaining 50% must be paid one week before the car is actually rented otherwise the reservation is cancelled and you are then responsible for loss of use and the entire sum must be paid accordingly. Here we seriously recommend a conclusion of a travel resignation cost insurance from the "Reiseversicherungs AG", Munich, which we offer. We can send you information concerning this insurance policy or you may want to chose your own insurance company. Should one of the regulations be or become ineffective, thus this inefficacy does not affect the remaining regulations. The ineffective regulation has to be replaced by a regulation that fulfils the economical purpose of the cancelled regulation most.
